A/B Testing for Dummies
Any webpage can undergo changes. However, the results of changing the webpage can be either good or bad. In other words, the results are either positive or negative. Actually, the challenge when changing a webpage is to find out whether the change is positive or negative. One way to overcome this challenge is through A/B Testing. The question is: What is A/B Testing?
A/B Testing is a way to test the changes in the webpages against the current design to find out which of the two designs gives better results. The current design is A or the Control. The changes is B or the Variation. Using A/B Testing, you can show visitors the two designs: A and B. Therefore, visitors to your website will be able to determine which one is better. In addition, you can decide on metrics based on your goals and measure the impact the changes have on these metrics. As a result, you will be able to make sure that the changes did produce positive results.

about 11 years agoYou are most welcome Srinivas. The metrics here are more related to the design of the webpage, usability and other aspects related to the webpage itself. I will do my best to share more about these metrics in a future post. Wish you all the best.
